Doing difficult things over and over again seeking challenge, rather than hiding from it will make you a more effective, resilient, healthy and happy person.
Spotting faults is a large part of the coach’s job. Analyzing movements and positions and discerning the difference between what is good and bad. Develop your eye not only to see static positions but dynamic faults in real time. Comparing movements side by side and comparing and contrasting is a great way to spot flaws by teasing out how the two versions are the same or different. Here I analyze two reps done moments apart. While both are okay neither one is perfect and one... is visibly better than the other. Even though this is a sandbag the principles carry over to barbell lifting. Switching equipment and modalities creates new challenges for the athlete and coach where some bad habits may get amplified and give them both a fresh perspective. #coaching #mentoring #coacheseye #faults #fitness #sandbags #heelsdown #coretoextremity #posteriorchainengagement
Here’s a little breakdown of the sandbag clean by Keith "Coach Panda" Wittenstein
