Spring is around the corner and we are getting ready! This Saturday we join Beautify Brooklyn (@radical_unity) in an aim to clean ALL of Brooklyn. We start with our neighborhood. As we have been, every Saturday - we welcome you to bring a friend, family member, broom or gloves to join the effort in cleaning our streets and tree beds. A huge shout-out to our Youth staff here at FDC. Always finding dynamic, engaging & creative ways to make the most of virtual programming. During Mid-Winter Recess break FDC Afterschool @ P.S. 152 and P.S.315 offered virtual holiday camp. Participants were given STEM kits to use during zoom calls. Our kids became scientific magicians as they used the National Geographic Science Magic kit, then Meteorologists as they used the Weather Science kit, later that week traveled the ...world as they virtually visited museums, farms, historical sites and even NASA! Lastly they got a taste of the work of an Engineer as they used the Lego Gadgets Building Machines kit, and finally, to top the week off - they enjoyed FDC's Fun Friday as they thought back on the week's adventures and played virtual games. #alwayslearning #fdc #fdcyouth #community #flatbushdevelopmentcorporation #dycd See more
