For 25 years, 7-Eleven, Inc. has enabled local cops to connect with kids through "Operation Chill" community service program. 7-Eleven works with local police a...nd sheriff's departments donating free Slurpee drink coupons they can distribute to children and youth caught being safe or doing good. The members of the Floral Park Police Department will be participating in this program this fall, dispensing well-deserved Slurpee justice to the good kids in Floral Park. See more

The Exploring program helps prepare young men and women to become better citizens and community members through character development, physical fitness, and good citizenship. Explorers train with active and retired Nassau County police officers and participate in many service projects and community events throughout the year. Our Explorers are also award-winning: they routinely come out on top at local, regional, and national Explorer competitions and the Drill Team has been National Champions since 2010. Members of Floral Park FD responded to a report of building fire on Covert ave at about 6:30 this am. A 5th alarm was transmitted and Mutual aid was received from numerous departments throughout Nassau County.
