Nothing like that time I took myself to dinner at @elevenmadisonpark after a Kundalinj Yoga class (2016) . The food, the service, the people I met at the bar- all so beautiful. Pictured here is the well-known Duck with Daikon and Plum, a signature dish by #danielhumm . . . Duck is a great source of protein, fat (not as much fat as red meat however), iron, selenium and B vitamins- in particular Niacin (B3) and B12. Niacin helps covert carbs to glucose for energy and metabo...lizes fats and proteins. B12 is important for red blood cell formation, nerve function and DNA synthesis. A good choice during pregnancy for those who do eat meat. Day 2 of #nationalnutritionmonth we are stopping by EMP for a meal, at the bar, just like good ol’ days, which are yet to come again. #elevenmadisonpark #nyceats #food #indigenousnutritionist #dietitiansofinstagram See more

2 years BC (before corona) I made the most of my layovers. Once I had ~7 hours to spare in Amsterdam, and where else would I trek to other than the museum?! (Been there done (some of) tha.... ose other things you are thinking I was going to say back in 2004 ). . . Why does cheese (and more-so dairy) get a bad rep?! Lots of reasons - one being faulty, trendy influencing media, another being the fear of fat factor, and yet another being that not all cheese is processed the ...same way. This last one has some more depth and credit to it as there are some pretty shitty imitation cheeses out there (that I most definitely ate as a kid)- and most were born and raised in America). . . You won’t find cheese wiz or singles wrapped in plastic at @amsterdamcheesemuseum - for a sneak peak to what you will find check out my blog up on my website. #saycheese #amsterdamcheesemuseum #cheese #dairy #indigenousnutritionist See more

I took a walk in the rain this morning in NYC, and it was fantastic. At first I was annoyed that I had to carry a big, bad umbrella, and then suddenly, without any inclination, my mood changed. The streets were less crowded, the trees were brilliant green, and the smell of fresh rain in the air was a nice relief from other city smells. What was a walk back home, became a walk in the park. One of the best things about NYC is it’s walking culture; similar to Paris, Milan, and other European cities. This act of daily walking is a great boost to one’s overall health and well-being. Don’t let the rain stop you. #nyc #walking #moodbooster #indigenousnutritionist

It is not that there is a lack of food in Yemen, Symington tells Food Tank. It is that people are unable to afford the food.

Wine at 5, and other adventures. Seyval blanc is a Hybrid grape variety grown in England, the US east coast (such as here in @tvvineyards ) in the Pacific Northwest, and to a lesser extent in Canada. Cheers to an actual holiday weekend people are getting out of the house for, and for some of us, before we actually go back IN to work! #tornevalleyvineyards #indigenousnutritionist #dietitiansofinstagram #wine #seyvalblanc #foodculture

Hi All! I recently gave Mosaic Foods a try to see how I liked them before recommending them to my clients. The result: very pleasantly surprised! The meals are flash frozen making them taste fresh once cooked. These are great for people who have jobs that demand a lot of their time or who have a schedule that is not predictable/ or travel often. If you are in the NY region I recommend you give them a try. They are vegetarian based, wholesome and taste .

If you are missing the Pilates studio as much as me, then I’m sure you take a look back at photos and reminisce about the good ol’ days Things may be shifting now, but I honestly believe this time spent in a rather different dimension will make us appreciate all the more the human touch/physical connection and assistance we get with an in person Pilates session (when that time comes again). Much like this photo of me, keep your head up and reach for that Pilates feeling in ...your daily living activities. In the mean time there are plenty of ways to practice the Mat work- essentially the cherry on top of Pilates! I recommend working with a certified teacher via Zoom (or another video choice) for some magical ’s on instruction or 1:1 outside in an open space, on, distanced. I offer 1:1 Zoom classes for beginners, intermediate, and Advanced Pilates practitioners as well as 1:1 talk sessions about my work in classical/original Pilates. All classes are 45 minutes in length. DM me for affordable rates and dates! * Picture taken at the one and only @purepilatesdubai studio during a workshop with #muratberkin of @legacypilates in 2018 #Pilates #contrology #fitness #mydubai #indigenousnutritionist
