This #FoodBankFriday meet our Agency Relations Coordinator, Garrett Garrett assists with new partner agency and existing partner agency needs throughout our 11 county service area. Garrett joined Food Bank of Central New York earlier this year as a member of our Agency Relations department! "I believe in the fundamental human right to food, and the Food Bank’s mission of helping underprivileged populations exercise this right aligns very much with my own. I also strongly su...pport equitable access to nutritious, fresh food and nutrition education, and am grateful for food bank’s many programs that build our capacity to offer such support. Truly ending hunger is working to find sustainable, long-term solutions and drivers of universal change in our current food and economic systems. I am excited to explore our organization’s role in addressing these challenges together with our many partners and communities we serve.

Throughout this past year our partner agencies in Herkimer County distributed 756,644 pounds of fresh food from the Food Bank, including 30,400 pounds of disaster response meals, to families & individuals in need. We thank our amazing partner agencies throughout Herkimer County, including Catholic Charities of Herkimer County, for helping to put an end to hunger during this challenging time

Don't forget to join us this Saturday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm for this special drive-thru edition of "Wicked Woods at Green Lakes." This event is fun for all ages and open to the public. The Liverpool Turkey Trot goes virtual Mark your calendars and join us for the annual "Liverpool Turkey Trot" benefiting our mission.
