Food for Life

Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It's important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.

Remember this. Hold on to this. This is the only perfection there is, the perfection of helping others. This is the only thing we can do that has any lasting meaning. This is why we're here. To make each other feel safe.

In the midst of these overwhelming times of despair and uncertainty, our food relief project, Food for Life - Tompkins Square Park, has been going full steam ah...ead. The number of meals we provide three times per week to our neighbors in need has since doubled and will soon triple. Hope everyone is safe and taking the necessary precautions during this pandemic. We’ve been running around helping the Catholic Worker and Bowery Mission. Thanks to the support of City Council and the 9th Precinct, and after implementing additional safety measures, we back at Tompkins Square Park every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the same time 9:30am.
