(continued) The Coronavirus has forced many companies into bankruptcy as well as many individuals who are forced into debt and cannot pay their bills for food or rent. The pandemic has forced school children in New York to stay home and work virtual on the Internet with their teachers. The only meals the poor children were able to have were the meals that they ate in school because there was no food at home. Many families eat cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Others did... go to a food kitchen, community kitchens, food pantries and soup kitchens. They live like this daily and do not wait for stipends to support them from the Olympics. The AAU, of which I am member, is cancelling hundreds of events that also support their fantastic organization. That also means that tens of thousands of children of all ages and all segments of our population cannot be involved with every type of sports program. (continued on next Instagram)
