Forest Lake Campground

Nice to have the sunshine and warmer temperatures. The photos taken this morning show the snow still remaining. Each spring as soon as the temperature stares to feel like spring we get many phone calls about availability of sites and wanting to look at sites. We would like to accommodate, however, the snow stays here much longer than lower elevation locations. Within just a couple miles the ground will be free of snow but not here. Usually by the middle of April conditions should be good enough to accommodate looking at sites.

Still snowing at noon on Wednesday.... Here is a picture from inside the store to the deck outside. There was some snow before but this was a wow moment looking outside. Thought you all would appreciate it too!

This is a before the stormpicture! Liberty insists I throw the stick toward the lake not in the road. Snow is deeper than her. Good workout for her! I’ll walk on the road. We had two more inches last night. I guess we call that flurries here! 12-14 inches predicted starting this evening. Stocked up!

Amazing weather again today! We are getting some stuff done around here we didn’t expect to do! Liberty and I enjoyed another beautiful walk around the lake this morning. We’ve been seeing lots and lots of geese, migratory ducks, mergansers, eagles, a lone seagull. There are a couple of others I can’t identify. Stay well everyone and see you around the !!!

Seven Os RV Dealership is scheduled to winterize a RV here at Forest Lake on October 5 in the afternoon. They are available to do additional RVs on that date should others wish to use their service. All arrangements should be made with Seven Os.

We had so many beautiful camping days this summer! My grandchildren found this little guy at their camper this morning! South Pavillion field area. I haven’t seen them in many many years. Hopefully they are making a comeback! We do our best to protect the environment here. Call 607-842-6401 to make your reservation! There are not many camping days left this summer!
