Got any pictures of your dogs opening presents? This is Apollo after opening up a present from his Aunty Coco. Love his collar? Got that at Paws of Distinction. Please share some pics!
Snow... love or hate? Odin and Apollo love it!
Let’s see some pics of your pups!
UPDATE: We have reopened the For Paws Ulster County Dog Park in New Paltz. HOWEVER, we need YOUR help. 1. Use trashcans only for dog waste. Practice this yourself and nicely remind others. The small cans are repeatedly filled with recyclables and other trash which is not what they are for. Also, if you can take home your dog waste, please do! 2. We desperately need volunteers to remove the trashcan waste and put in a fresh trash bag. We can supply the trash bags, we also can... supply transfer station tickets, but THIS IS COMPLETELY A VOLUNTEER DUTY, and we need YOUR help. Sign up for a week. Message For Paws (Christie). Our previously dedicated volunteer is not comfortable continuing this task. 3. Maintain social distancing, wear masks or have a mask on your person if you cannot socially distance yourself, and be aware and careful when touching surfaces. We have no way to wipe down gate handles etc. Stay safe. 4. Want to do more? We are in need of Board Members and dedicated supporters. At this time we are a crew of three. Christie DeBoer- founder and President. Dr. Karen Bennet, Compassion Vet Treasurer and Secretary, and Amanda Favoino, owner of Paws of Distinction, Vice President. The donations we receive pays for repair needs, waste bags etc. and the important insurance. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the dog park, but if we do not have help in maintaining and respecting this nearly 2 acre resource, we will reevaluate the future of the dog park. FACTS: Two acres of land is owned by the County, leased to the Town of New Paltz and For Paws of Ulster nonprofit for a dog park. Town of New Paltz assists with mowing. Nonprofit For Paws of Ulster, established in 2009, maintains the lease agreements, insurance, and is responsible for the maintenance in terms of removing waste, stocking waste stations with bags, and repairing the fence, etc. Donations to For Paws are tax deductable as we are a certified nonprofit. Our PO Box is not operational, so if you wish to mail in a donation, email Christie. See an issue? Let us know but also help us find solutions!!!!
COVID-19 Safety Update. Effective March 28, 2020 at 3 pm the Ulster County Dog Park in New Paltz, NY is CLOSED until further notice.
THE DOG PARK NEEDS YOUR HELP! This volunteer run county dog park has worked closely with Ulster County and Town of New Paltz to provide the dog park since Sept. 2014. We have an agreement with the Town that they mow the park for us WHEN THEY CAN- and they are super busy right now. PLEASE CONTACT ME (Christie DeBoer- founder and current board president) via messenger if you can help with the mowing right away! I live in Accord with a push mower, I cannot get this done. I KNOW WE HAVE USERS THAT CAN HELP!! I have gate keys as well, so someone with a riding mower can access the areas. Let's pull together and show some TLC for this awesome dog park!!!!!!!
Do you even yoga, dude?
Remember to review the posted rules at the park.
We would add that bringing your dog to the park is a pretty awesome thing to do for your pooch, too.
Remember, we have leash laws in this area, and please pick up after your doggo.
Puppies!!! Get yer puppies here!!!
Go get a new BFF!
Me: Happy Dog Fart Awareness Day, Buddy! Buddy: *pffffffffffttttt* "Happy" #DFAD! LMAO
