This is 8 hour hair under bright lights, heat, & some major sweating. My curls really held their own on Friday. I have fine to medium hair, & so some areas of it there wasn't much I could do to fight the frizz. It was gonna happen. But overall, I was pleased with my curls.... Product is everything. If you're going to wear braids here are my rules: 1 Deep conditioning is a must 2 6 weeks max (anything more causes excessive shedding)... 3 Keep your scalp clean (I'll tell you how) 4 Spritz your braids with a water-based moisturizer (I'll tell you what) Most people, including myself, don't like fuzzy braids...PERIODT. But you have to use a water-based moisturizer b/c without water moisture doesn't exist, and oil can't do the job on it's own. They are absolutely codependent. ' , . ' ' & ; ' . The best way to minimize it is to wear a silk scarf/ bonnet at night and sleep on a silk/satin pillowcase in case the bonnet/scarf comes off. ? If not for yourself, at least do it for your hair. Using good hair products helps, but it will never beat drinking water. I always ask people how much water they're drinking when they tell me their hair is dry b/c it's the best way to keep your hair and skin hydrated. Chances are if you're dehydrated so is your hair. It helps to break down good into energy and nourishes our hair. ... It's recommended to drink 1/2 oz to 1oz per lb. you weight. So if you weight 130lbs. you should be drinking anywhere from 8-16 8oz. glasses of water everyday. And if you don't like to drink your water, then "eat" your water by adding plenty of fruits and veggies to your diet.
