Happy Wednesday from Foster’s Coach House! We hope everyone is staying warm and cozy! We wanted to let everyone know that we WILL be open for dining tonight, but because of the cold and inclement weather, we’ll be offering INDOOR seating, both at our tables and at our bar. So, brush off that midweek chill, come in from the cold, and enjoy a warm meal with us. We’d love to see your faces!

Unfortunately, due to today’s inclement and non-cooperative weather, we felt it best NOT to open today for in-person dining. It’s just too chilly for everyone’s comfort! HOWEVER... we are most certainly OPEN today for any and all TAKE-OUT, all day, from 11am to 8pm. A Tribute to Bob Kirwood... They say Mr. K has passed away, finally took off his apron and called it a day, better yet decades seven or eight, it’s my understanding the big C sealed his fate, one last spin through town in a long, black car, I’ll always picture him standing at the service end of the bar, you know in a way he was a hero of mine, worked hard all his life and drank most of the time, with jet grey hair and a sparkle in his eye, in his youth I imagine he occasiona...lly got high, and in his storybook life he loved the ladies and betting on the ponies and driving Mercedes, and the Coach House was his house, and his house was your house, in the summer time people from all over lined up and down the street and once inside the inner sanctum he’d be there to greet, in a good mood or a foul mood or three sheets to the wind, some say he was hard to work for but he was everyone’s friend, he once loaned me two hundred dollars in a booth in the back, he said give it to me when you got it Timmy just don’t spend it on smack, back then he was full of piss and vinegar, a well to do man in his prime, and I proceeded to get sh*t faced on Mr. K’s dime, he served bikers and bankers and movie stars and rabble and just might eighty-six you if you blithered and babbled, he loved life and he lived life he was a man amongst men, because of this very sad news I just had to pick up my pen. Oh, glorious winter! Rhinebeck received a record 22 inches of snow in this week's Nor'Easter. And if you're tired from shoveling the sidewalks and yourself out from under the now, and just want to make your family's next meal a little easier, remember....Foster's Coach House IS OPEN for TAKE-OUT, and here to cook up a cozy, warm meal for you. Also....can you believe that Christmas is one week from today? We hope that your packages are shipped and your presents wrapped. And, while we can't be here to celebrate the holidays in person with all of you this year, we can continue the tradition with what we can offer: a warm, traditional Foster's meal. Though we are closed on Christmas, we are available on Christmas Eve for Take-Out. It's our way of continuing Foster's annual Christmas Eve tradition, albeit socially-distanced and enjoying one of our warm, home-cooked meals in the comfort and warmth of your own home. After much deliberation, and with a heavy heart, Foster's Coach House has decided to reduce our dining service for the upcoming winter season to "Take-Out" service only. As such, beginning next week on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, we will no longer be offering inside dining for our patrons, and will remain strictly limited to "Take-Out" service* (available via phone or online order).
