Four Foot Studios 25.05.2021

I few days ago for my birthday I decided I would build myself a couple CAPI vp28 preamps. Happy birthday to me! Thanks to Mike Rippe for helping to troubleshoot and giving me some replacement parts after I blew some shit up on the 1st preamp. Second practically built itself though If anyone else feels like building a few more of these for me, it’s my birthday all month as far as im concerned

Make a record with me. Im fully vaccinated and ready to make some records! Hire me to mix your record remotely, or book studio time with covid safety precautions in place. Even though i’m vaccinated, masks will be required when we are in the same room together, and the number of people allowed in the studio at once will be limited for the time being. I will also be isolating for a few days prior and after each session. See you soon at four foot studios! Chase King’s new record Lost Weapon is also out today! recorded, mixed, & produced by Gabriel Galvin at Four Foot Studios https://chaseking.bandcamp.com/al...bum/lost-weapon . This record is also very special to me and has been a release I’ve been anticipating for years. We finished the record in early 2017 and it was one of the last studio recordings (along with the Joseph Sant record) that my best friend Stirling Krusing played on before he got sick later that year. Making this record with Stirling and Chase are among some of my favorite memories. Because of the cruel turns life took, the release of this record was put off for way to long, but that only meant that I had my own personal secret record to listen to that nobody else had! Literally every time i left my house from 2017 until a plague stopped me from leaving my house, if i was listening to music, i was listening to this. It’s so beautiful and special and Im so happy that everyone else will finally get to hear it too. And to release another beautiful performance of Stirlings after he’s gone is truly a blessing from the music fairies. Please take the time to listen to this record and maybe think about those simpler times that seemed so difficult as they were happening, and if you knew Stirling, think of him because a big chunk of those sounds hitting your eardrums came out of him. Chase King -vocals, bass, guitars, drums, looper, drum machine, percussion Aodhan O'Reilly - guitars Alex Beard - drums Stirling Krusing - guitar, lapsteel, mandolin, melodica, chromatic harmonica, bass harmonica, whistles Gabriel Galvin -drums, percussion, organ, piano, wurli, synths, melodica, saxophone, guitar, glockenspiel, theremin, Ian Vidaurre -additional percussion Mastered by Randy Merrill at Sterling Sound /////////////////////////////////:::::::::::::::::::::::::: # # #newmusic #newmusicfriday #newrecord #music #vinyl #audio #recording #studio #recordingstudio #williamsburg #brooklyn #newyork #recordproducer #audioengineer #plantsinthebreeze

Absent Citys new record continue normal living is out today!. Buy it on vinyl (or digital) at Bandcamp, or listen anywhere you find music recorded, mixed, & ...produced by Gabriel Galvin at Four Foot Studios https://absentcity.bandcamp.com/album/continue-normal-living This record is very special to me. We poured ourselves into this and during a time when that was exactly what i needed to help cope with some very painful things that were happening in my life. When Henry came to me with these songs, the demos were in the form of iPhone recordings of band practice. Henry was completely on board to renounce preconceptions of the songs and follow the adventures each song takes us on in the studio. This is exactly the ideal way to make a record. The song will tell you where it wants to go. We listened, and though I couldn’t possibly know how much of a personal attachment I am attributing, I truly believe the resulting work to be a masterpiece and a sonic journey traversing that abstract path where emotion intersects with sound. I hope you enjoy it. Henry Daniel Freedland guitars, vocals, keys (+ clarinet, saxophone, accordion, kalimba, melodica, bass harmonica, mandolin, harmonium, sitar) Liz Maynes-Aminzade drums, percussion, vocals Sam Bloch- bass Gabriel Galvin-guitars (tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, , keys (all except 7), mandolin (4), bass harmonica (4), percussion (4, 6, , bass (5, 7, 8, 10), theremin (6), vocals (6, 10), plants in the breeze (8), lap steel (9), sitar (10) Bekah Shaughnessy-vocals (tracks, 1, 3, 6) Ryann Joan Liebenthal violin (track 10) Mastered by Josh Bonati /////////////////////////////:::::::::::::::::::::::::: # # #newmusic #newmusicfriday #newrecord #music #vinyl #audio #recording #studio #recordingstudio #williamsburg #brooklyn #newyork #recordproducer #audioengineer #plantsinthebreeze
