Introducing: Chestnut Gnocchi with Black Trumpet Mushrooms and Fried Sage Keepin it cozy for these outdoor winter lunches! This gnocchi made with chestnut flour and nutmeg is picked up in a creamy mushroom ragu, which is made with porcini mushroom stock, black trumpet mushrooms, and maitake mushrooms. The dish is finished with parmigiano reggiano, fried sage, and (best for last) confit chestnuts. This dish is a lunch menu exclusive! Come by for Thursday or Friday lunch. Anatomy of a Dish: Puntarelle Salad Every year at The Four Horsemen, we look forward to chicory season. Chef Nick always has his take on Puntarelle alla Romana on the menu during these colder months, and while it changes a little from year to year, the concept stays the same. Bitter crunchy greens, briny and umami rich anchovies, electric acidity and an unreasonable amount of garlic. This year he stayed true to the classic dish, but used a few special ingredients such as tard...ivo and parmigiano reggiano. See our slideshow for play by play of building this simple but oh so delightful dish that only comes around in peak winter. 1. Start with grated garlic and minced anchovy. 2. Add olive oil, red wine vinegar, and a squeeze of lemon. 3. Add your greens. 4. Parm + Maldon 5. Mix, plate, eat!

This afternoon the clouds will part, the temperature will push back over 60, and we’ll be hosting Nightmoves al fresco once again. Brace thineselves! Nick and Massimo of L’Industrie are taking over the 4H kitchen to make some of their unreal sandwiches! We are huge fans of everything these guys do, and were so excited when they reached out about a pop up that let them push the limits with some really baller ingredients. We are their honored hosts This pop up coincides with our ongoing weekly Nightmoves pop up and will feature beverage pairings from @orlandofranklin and @basileak + @jchearno. As well, ...Chef @nickcurtola will be in the kitchen supporting the boys with veggie sides and dessert. So it’s a triple threat: @lindustriebk x @fourhorsemenbk x nightmoves! Earlier this week, our sister café @daymovesbk launched the Daymoves Coffee Cart right outside of 4H. We are all instantly feeling spoiled by the major level up on our afternoon coffee! Best around! The introduction of the cart made it possible to bring back our pals Adam, Sarah, and Ariel or The Café 3 as we’ve been calling them. Come by to say hello and sip on a truly delicious coffee drink.
