Wisdom Wednesday!! Both of these are meat chickens! But what’s the difference? The chicken on the left has white legs. The chickens on the right have yellow legs. White legged meat birds have sturdier legs, and less heart problems! They also grow slower. Yellow legged meat birds grow much faster, therefore legs and hearts give out quicker, meaning they must be processed sooner to avoid problems

Evidently we landed some very nosey, photogenic chickens in the first batch . They are growing like crazy, and love checking things out!!
