Frost for a lot of our local flower farmers came early this year and it sucks. Entire fields of ready to burst buds frozen and done. One farmer said it was the earliest frost she’s ever seen.... Not all was lost and we’ll be bringing in whatever we can from them that they have available for as long as possible. This is climate change. Our industry as a whole is not actually that kind to Mother Nature. Before you ask your florist for peonies in September, ask what’s in seas...on. Ask what is local. Make that your priority.
