How about that! The Inchelium Red soft neck garlic poked through the hay mulch and is growing very well. No weeds!

It has been difficult this Spring to work out in the soil because of all of the rain and cold weather. Last week I took the plastic off of my high tunnel and these beautiful creatures decided that this is just a great place to hang out. Vultures are very important to our existence as they keep our environment devoid of harmful pathogens from dead animals.

Spring has finally arrived...I think.

I like to put a little organic compost on the garlic beds in the Spring using the manure spreader. Goes faster than with the wheelbarrow and shovel.

Changing weather patterns made 2018 a difficult year for farming. Summer began with a month of very dry weather, and then the cold and rain came early in the fall. However, we were able to harvest all of our garlic, and got next year's crop planted before the snow fell. Thank you all for your support. We look forward to working with you in 2019.
