To our friends and local businesses, The Hudson/Catskill Housing Coalition (HCHC) would like to partner with you to distribute Thanksgiving dinners & holiday to...ys for low income and public housing tenants at Hop-O-Nose in Catskill and Bliss Towers in Hudson. Will you please participate as a neighbor or local business, extending your services to the community by donating food, takeout containers and/or toys? Regardless of the amount, your contribution is invaluable to the production of these events. This partnership will assist in creating long term advancement for all members of the community. All donations are tax deductible and we will include your business name on our promotional materials. HCHC is a Black-led tenants’ rights and racial justice organization that empowers low income and public housing tenants in Columbia and Greene Counties, where two small, historically-Black communities are facing pervasive gentrification. We are a coalition of activists, allies, low income, and public housing tenants organizing for collective power and self-governance. Our long term goals include rent control, divestment from over-policing and mass incarceration, and reinvestment in social services and affordable and safe housing for all. We will have a donation box for nonperishables and toys at Mermaid Cafe, 374 Main Street, Catskill, NY. To schedule a drop-off of perishables, contact us at 518-291-9415 or [email protected]. We will accept Thanksgiving donations until Tuesday, November 17th and toy donations until Friday, December 18th. Thank you for both your time and consideration investing in Hudson and Catskill’s residents! These events gather members from all backgrounds to strengthen community unity and support local organizations and businesses. Together we can ensure everyone has a wonderful holiday season during COVID-19 restrictions. If you have any questions, please reach out. Sincerely, Claire Cousin, President of Board www.hudsoncatskillhousing.org

Put your election night angst to good use: learn about housing justice and how to bring it to Catskill & Greene County! Session 2: Multiracial, Multiclass Affordable Housing for All In the recent Housing Open Mic, Catskill Village Board President Vincent Seeley offered home ownership as the solution to lack of affordable housing, citing investors' return on investment as a concern to not look into rent control or other solutions. How can we have sustainable housing options... for renters AND homeowners without displacing low and middle income tenants? If we want a solution, we have to create it together.
