The Pre-K graduates at the Long Beach JCC celebrated in a very exciting way with a Graduation Car Parade! The children had so much fun pulling up in front of the building, receiving their diplomas and gifts and saying farewell to their teachers! Thank you to our amazing staff, the Long Beach Fire Dept and The Long Beach Police Dept traffic division for such a wonderful event! Congratulations to the Friedberg JCC Long Beach Branch Graduates 2020!!

Happy 80th Birthday Elbert! Our beloved Friedberg JCC Lynbrook custodian Elbert Wilder celebrated his 80th birthday on Friday May 1st. Elbert has worked for the JCC and prior to that Temple Am Echad for almost 40 years. To celebrate his special day the JCC arranged a drive-by birthday parade in front of his apartment building. Dozens and dozens of staff, students and former families drove by honking their horns, holding up signs and calling out birthday wishes. More than eight fire engines joined in the festivities. Elbert proudly showed off the shirt that Michelle Zabrocki designed for him for the occasion.
