Friends of HCS Music

Congratulations to our very own Ms. Giddings, for receiving tenure. Our music program has always been outstanding, and that is because of the wonderful people HCS finds to teach our children. We look forward to many years and concerts with you Ms. Giddings. Congratulations.

This year's recipient of the Christopher Shenkel Memorial Music Scholarship (aka the "Superman Award." Molly has played cello since 2nd grade, taking private lessons from Chris Shenkel during the summers. Molly performed in All-County, Area All State, and participated in NYSSMA. She is planning to join some music ensembles at Barnard/Columbia and continue with her musical endeavors.

Such a wonderful end product. We have such talented students, and a dedicated band conductor. Thank you Mr. Coldren.
