Friends of the North Woods

The North Woods have been busy with Skidmore and Saratoga community residents hiking, running, and exploring! Please be courteous to your fellow visitors, social distance, and wear a mask around others. Our North Woods Steward is monitoring the trail system to manage litter, downed trees, signage, and maintenance. Please note that we will not have any events posted for the Saratoga Springs community for the coming semester. We will have limited student-only activities, which will require an RSVP and will be advertised with printed posters and Instagram posts. A reminder to our friends visiting the North Woods- please leash your dogs, no fires, and no mountain biking in the woods. This is for the safety of the plant and animal diversity in the forest and courteous for fellow walkers. Thank you and be safe! There is awesome mountain biking just down the road at Saratoga Mountain Bike Association's Daniels Road trails. They have a newly expanded parking lot just a few yards east of the Clinton-Daniels Road intersection. It is called "SMBA Parking at the Clearing" on Google Maps.

This Wednesday in the woods we worked on creating an easier stepping stones path across the stream along the orange trail! Also some fun Northwoods critter we have seen throughout the week so far!
