Due to the severe winter weather, we have closed our health & wellness amenities this morning for the safety of our members and staff. We plan to reopen this afternoon with our regularly scheduled 3:30PM swim and 4PM fitness center reservations through our normal closing time. Y Childcare remains open. Stay safe everyone!!!

Please note: due to the impending winter weather tonight into the morning, we will delay opening tomorrow by 1 hour to accommodate snow removal and safe travels for our members and staff. We will open our Fitness Center at 6AM tomorrow (December 17, 2020), with the front doors opening around 5:50AM. Have you heard the news? Our Y has been selected as the beneficiary of the Hannaford Supermarkets Helps Reusable Bag Program! Each time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Gloversville Hannaford location during the month of December we will receive a $1 donation! Please remember to keep an eye out for these special bags at our local Hannaford and pick one up this December to help raise much-needed funds to keep our YMCA going strong during the pandemic. We will be starting up a (socially-distanced) Youth Sports Club on Saturdays beginning November 28 for 5 weeks. 10-11AM in the Y gymnasium. Games include basketball, soccer, hockey, gym games and 1 day of swimming pool games. For youth ages 6-12. Masks will be required at all times (except in the pool) and space is limited to adhere to physical distance guidelines. 1 spectator per participant only, with spots marked out for spectators (6 feet apart). The great part is, parent...s can reserve a workout time in the fitness center while youth are in sports club! We will be offering a socially-distanced version of Youth Basketball beginning the week of November 30, 2020. Ages 5-7 will have class on Mondays 6-7PM and ages 8-12 on Wednesdays from 6-7PM in our gymnasium. This is a skills & drills type program to allow for COVID-19 safety. Masks are required along with temperature checks and attestation forms. 1 spectator allowed per participant and spaces will be marked out for spectators (6 feet apart).
