You don't wanna leave your precious angel home alone. We get it. That's where we come into play. Our experienced dog handlers watch them, play with them, walk them every 3 hours and basically make them feel at home. When you pick them up, you receive a report card with all sorts of details regarding your dog and the stay. Pretty awesome, huh? And they loooove it here (why wouldn't they?) Call our staff anytime and they'll provide you with any information you may need. At Furry Tails, we love them just as much as you do.

Hello there! May the 4th be with you! Lucas (no relation to Skywalker) has been waiting for his forever home for over 75 days and has been mastering his version... of the Jedi mind trick - puppy-dog eyes! With the loyalty of Chewie, the ears of Grogu, and the dashing good looks of Han, we promise Lucas IS the dog you're looking for. Visit Lucas' profile on nycacc.app and click 'adopt me' today! #repost Boroughbred in Brooklyn! May the Fourth be with you! To celebrate this day we want to re-introduce you to Lucas...aaaarrr, we mean Chewbacca! Lucas and Chewie have a lot in common though; they are both adorable brunettes who are loyal, loving and very loved! Unlike Chewie, Lucas is pint sized, knows his basic cues, and walks very nicely on leash. Lucas was surrendered due to his aging owner having trouble caring for him. They describe him as friendly, affectionate and mellow. He is reported to be house trained and well behaved when left home alone. Lucas previously lived with a 9 year old child who he was noted to be respectful with and would do best with adults or older kids, and as your one and only Wookie. You don’t have to go to an alternative galaxy to find your favorite Wookie, he’s right here in Brooklyn and available to an experienced adopter! Adopt Lucas you must, by completing the application in our bio! Lucas’s ID is #111960. https://nycacc.app/browse/111960 #nycacc #boroughbred #maythe4thbewithyou #starwars #maythefourthbewithyou #starwarsday

After she was hit by a car, a Good Samaritan brought her to Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) before she was transferred into our care. Since she was in extreme ...pain, we rushed her to our emergency vet where doctors operated on Berry and monitored her for respiratory distress. Berry's condition is promising - she's taken a few steps over the last 24 hours - but she still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She's such a sweetheart and we're making sure that Berry has all the care she needs to heal. If you’d like to help us cover the cost of Berry’s emergency care, click the DONATE button or visit animalhaven.org. Thank you for helping us give Berry a bright future! See more

THANK YOU NEW YORK CITY! We needed help and you came. You came to adopt. You came to foster. Our partners came to pull pets into their adoption programs. We are... so grateful. WHAT'S NEXT? Right now, our population is very manageable, and we have enough staff for all of the pets. HOW CAN WE HELP? We still need specific donations of toys, large/xlarge dog crates, bedding, harnesses and dog treats. These can be purchased from our Amazon wishlist, http://bit.ly/ACCWishList, or dropped off outside our care centers. DO YOU NEED MORE FOSTERS? No. While we always need experienced fosters for large breed dogs with a bite history or other behavior issues, we no longer need fosters for small dogs or cats!
