Thanks to our close, hardworking network: @hspecialsurgery @nyphospital @medjetassist and some of our patients, we were able to get our athlete home from the DR and into surgery in less than 24 hours. Go team!!! Posted @withrepost @athletefood I believe his exact words were, Bec, you don’t want to see this. Compound fracture. We were out working out together in a quiet neighborhood. He was spinning around on a mountain bike while I was running. Hit a super slick patch of road and the front wheel wobbled and then a leg fractured in four places. 15 hours later we landed in an air ambulance that took us straight from the northern part of the Dominican Republic to Teterboro. Can’t thank Carolyn (@fusionptnyc) and @calderjackson @worldfamousandy enough for making our swift exit possible. Surgery next.
