A promise takes shape in deeds. The words are the platform from which the honesty of the promise is formed. A promise; A declaration that one will do or refrain from doing something specified; be it good or bad. ... How many of us have made such claims? How many make the claim knowing that it is paved on a repetitive road of shame? How many make the claim to merely end the conversation? How many truly understand its meaning and the weight that it carries as it is said, as your commitment moves forward, or sadly, sometimes backward? How many say it with a vision of honor, commitment, and trust? How many say it with the intent of instilling hope? How many say it, knowing that it is as fleeting as a pepper-induced sneeze? How many say it, knowing that it means nothing when it originates within feeble beings devoid of integrity, with no desire to work toward happy endings?
