Alright everyone...here’s the wheelbarrow of booze that is one of our side raffles in our spring sportsman’s raffle today! Food being served from 1p-4p for those who said they were coming to get their meal and then the virtual raffle will start shortly after 4p! We can’t wait to see everyone and thank you to all that bought a ticket!

Just a friendly reminder that there is a burn ban in effect until May 14th! We understand that it’s nice and you wanna do spring clean up but we don’t wanna see an accident turn into someone’s house being burnt down as a result so please follow this rule!

Good evening everyone, this is your last chance to get you 2021 spring sportsman raffle tickets! They will only be on sale for one more week, so get yours before it too late! We are providing a meal and will have some side tickets for sale at the hall while you’re there picking up your food!

Happy Halloween everyone, we will be serving cider and donuts tonight along with passing out goodie bags (all while following covid-19 regulations). So please feel free to stop by between 5:30pm and 8pm at the fire hall!

Quick lesson for the day, this is why you never put water on a grease fire in your kitchen! Best things to use are flour, baking soda, or anything that will smother the fire!

Also we’d like to give everyone a heads up that you only have approximately 3 weeks left to purchase our 30 Day raffle tickets. All prizes are from local Wyoming County businesses so just think that you have a chance not just to win a prize but also help out our fire department and a local business! 19 years ago today the worst terrorist attack in USA history happened. The World Trade Center was bombed my hijacked planes, causing mass death and destruction. Around 3,000 lives were taken that day including approximately 415 first responder lives. Rest In Peace to our brothers and sisters who answered the call that day not knowing that would be their final time doing so. We ask everyone to take a minute in memory of all the Civilians, Firefighters, Police, Paramedics, port authority, etc. that lost their lives that day. Some people have forgotten this tragic event....we ask everyone to come together and unite as one to show them that we all remember and will never forget!

Good morning to all, we have a couple items that we want to get out to the community. First we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has already bought tickets for our 30 day raffle and if you are looking for a ticket please reach out to a member or the number on the posters, Next is we will be having a drive through chicken bbq on November 3rd (election day) from 3pm-6pm, presale only so please get ahold of a member for those tickets, there will be a limited number of chickens will be ordered...$12 per ticket, and finally we like encourage everyone whose is able to go down to pike fire hall this weekend (august 14-16) for their Fair Food truck fundraiser...they will be having various fair foods including taffy, French fries, waffles and more, 11am-8pm all three days. Hello everyone, we want to share some information regarding our fundraisers with you....due to the covid-19 pandemic we as a department decided to cancel our 2020 mega raffle, with that being said we have decided to do a virtual 30-day raffle (daily drawings based off NYS daily lottery numbers) the prizes are just about all local businesses as we are trying to help our business owner friends out during this time as well. If interested in tickets please reach out to us via the Facebook page, the number on the bottom of the poster, or get ahold of a member. Thank you in advance for helping us.

Last night we had live fire training...worked on a various amount of skills and different evolutions. Great participation from our members as well.

Thank you to LCS for allowing us to join in the end of the year community parade! We hope the LCS community (Gainesville, Silver Springs, Pike, Castile, and Bliss) all enjoyed the parade!

Good afternoon everyone, we’d like to remind our LCS community that tomorrow is the LCS year of the end community parade through Gainesville, Bliss, Pike, Castile, and Silver Springs! The fire department will be joining in. So please view the times on the pictures below to see when we’ll be in each town and the route we’re traveling!

The members of the Gainesville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue squad would like to thank the Letchworth Teachers Association for their generous gift of individually packaged gatorade, bag of chips, and coupon to the Gainesville store for a slice or sandwich. You guys are great and we appreciate everything you do for our community and the kids of our area!

The Gainesville Fire department and Rescue held our annual elections last night. Fire Captain - Travis Hoffmeister Fire Lieutenant - Jeff Smith Fire Police Captain- Gary Hume President - Dusty Deiter Vice President - Gary Hume Secretary - CJ Cousins Treasurer - Michelle Sacco Directors: Albert Keller Jim Bodenstiener Dave Richardson Bob Zudima Tim Wieder The members of our department and squad would also like to thank a few members for their extensive dedicated time in some positions. We’d like to thank Bob Zudima for his 25+ years as the President, Kip Falkner for his 15+ years as a Director, Mike Horton for his 15+ years as the Hall Chairman, Brian Hill for his 10+ years as an Assistant Chief, and Val Lundy for her 10+ years as a Recuse Squad lieutenant. Again we thank you all for your dedication to the department in these roles!

Today was Conner Joy’s birthday and we were glad to be asked to join in his surprise birthday parade! Happy Birthday buddy and we hope you had a great day!
