Out of all the animals we rescue every year, one of the smelliest but one of my favorite are foxes. These guys exploring there new area for the next month as we continue to get them ready for the wild.
This is Ash, a common leopard gecko! She is nearly 2 years old, and only weighs about .06 Kg! Did you know- common leopard geckos are nocturnal, keeping out of the hot sun in their natural environment, and foraging for food during the night! Very cool!
It is so hard not to want to keep posting video of her
Did you hear that the sun back!
So we have had this beautiful girl for about a month now and she is doing great. She still has some moments where she's a little wobbly but consistently is getting better and better. We are super excited about the opportunities that might be before her and hope that she continues to recover.
A very Happy Birthday to the owner of G&G Animals and Fluffy our African Crested Porcupine!
I am so excited to share that we now are able to offer a one time free training for any one who is wanting to work with Raccoons, Bats, or skunk in the rehab world. This is a requirement, but never been offer online and If you have ever thought about doing it, then this is the best time to sign up as they don't offer it online often and usually cost money. Let us know if you are going to be taking the class, We would love to encourage you https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSf28UJzl2nDSFbcMF/viewform
Did you know, that we have a trading post here at the zoo! What is a trading post? A trading post is a spot that we have put aside with the help of Richard S. Shineman Foundation of an amazing collection of things that kids can trade for things they find in the wild. The goal and heart behind this is to encourage kids to go outside and explore nature. It's very exciting all the fun things that you can trade from really cool rocks to porcupine quills to Alligator teeth and so much more.
Super excited to share some fun news. We have some new parents.
