An open letter to our Firm: 25 years ago today, Stu and I walked into the 26th floor cavernous empty office space of a TV and movie production company at 1 Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, looked at each other and said: " What the fuck are we doing???!!!" If you take a quick look around you'll see exactly what we've done.... Our firm has had its ups and downs and highs and lows. Throughout it all we never forgot where we came from and what our vision was, namely to create a law firm where people meant more than profit; where open doors were valued as much as open files, where professionalism and excellence were not just buzzwords and most importantly, where humanity never took a back seat to anything. We've come a long way in 25 years and have a long way still to go, but we can say without reservation that this firm would be nothing without each and every one of you. Every single one of you is an integral and valued part of this organization. You define who we are, what we do and how we collectively accomplish our goals. We've said it before but it warrants repeating: In our collective almost 90 years of practicing law, we have never worked with a finer or more talented group of people. It has been and will continue to be an amazing and wonderful journey. Thank you all and keep your seat belts buckled!! Happy Anniversary!!
