Gaskins

Roasted carrots, spring onion, pumpkin seeds & sesame. This is a slightly cruel time in the hudson valley. Mud season - when it’s spring, the sun is shining and the grass is green. Mushrooms pop up in the damp forest & wild foods appear begging us to harvest sparingly. We can see the asparagus, rhubarb, strawberries and snap peas on the horizon, our mouths watering for those vibrant flavors. I’m not a patient person, but this dish will get me through.

Hey friends! We have to push back our opening date for outdoor dining until 5/13/21. Thanks for all your enthusiasm. We are quite literally counting down the days til we can serve you again at Gaskins.

Bottled Ox Eyes tonight. A Gaskins classic - Mezcal, mandarin liqueur, lemon & lime, bitters. Named because ox eye is a variety of daisy and this cocktail is a play on a margarita- aka a daisy! Also a nod to the Ox Eye window on our building.

OUTDOOR DINING RETURNS MAY 6TH Thur - Sun 5-9pm. We’ll have more tables this year. We’ll accept reservations via @resy starting 4/30/21. ... We’ll be saving some tables for walk-ins! We’re still offering Take-Out Thur-Sun. We’ll have patio heaters. You’ll still have to mask up when not at your table. Parties of 6 max. It’s still a pandemic whether you are vaxxed or not. So we’ll be requiring your kindness, grace & 6ft of personal space. No indoor dining yet for us, but we’ll keep you posted when we’re ready to receive guests inside. We can’t wait to see your faces, put food on plates and pour wine in glasses again. Thank you for sticking with us this last year, we will forever be grateful for the love & support of our community.

Each day of this year is a wild ride and I wouldn’t be standing without Molly, aka ‘mom’. She holds it down, lifts us up and reminds us to stay 6ft apart when all I want to do is hug her.
