Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health is issuing an advisory against bathing at Morgan Park beach and Pryibil Beach effective today, Aug...ust 14, 2020. This advisory is issued as a precautionary measure for beaches known to be impacted by stormwater runoff caused by heavy rainfall. Stormwater runoff can impact bathing water quality by elevating bacteria levels, which may cause exceedances of the New York State standard for bathing water quality. Beaches will be reopened for swimming on Saturday, August 15. Please note- First Class Concessions Food Truck will still be at Pryibil Beach today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Car 902 on Prybil’s Beach gate duty Thursday evening. We have a car and Officer cover the entrance each night to check for GC residency. It’s nice to see that so many residents have beach stickers. Have a great Friday everybody. As always stay well and safe.

Good afternoon, please note that the traffic light is now functioning correctly at the corner of Walnut Road and Forest Ave. All barricades have now been removed. As a friendly reminder tonight’s outdoor dining continues from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. downtown; Glen St., Bridge and School Street will be closed to all traffic; we hope to see you there.
