Our *Amazon: Perspectives and Reflection* event yesterday was a success! The Q&A session Dr. Caldas held was informative and inspiring. Dr. Caldas suggested that we, as global citizens, should engage in 1) support World Economic Forum in exerting conservation international pressure; 2) ask government to strengthen reinforcement.

Since we had such great session this past Tuesday, we want to keep the momentum going and roll out another event this upcoming Tuesday, featuring a recent spotlight topic / / **Amazon: Perspectives and Reflection** /... Celebrate Earth Day on Monday, April 22 from 4-8pm at Everett Lounge and GDH177-179 through a series of student-led interactive booths, research presentation on TC and its environmental impact, screening of an award-winning rebuttal documentary "Behind the Cove" that tells the untold story of the whaling industry in Japan followed by a Q&A session with the film director Keiko Yagi all the way from Japan!
