GCS Footlights

Listening to: Newsies Soundtrack. In honor of opening night. Hang in there everyone!

A bunch of rag-tag kids fighting against incredible odds who band together, have each other's back, take a 'seize the day' attitude and come out on top....wait ...a minute - I know this story! :) We all knew we would have to postpone Newsies. I just wanted to encourage you all that as the next several days unfold - we are going to be okay. The show will go on - at some point. For now, I am thinking through some of Katherine's lyrics. (not all back to back, but you get the idea) "those kids will live and breathe right on the page and once they're center stage, you watch what happens....they'll storm the gates and then just watch what happens when they do! It's David and Goliath....so whatever happens - let's begin!" So we begin the next chapter of an historic show season for Footlights. We begin to wait. We don't stop. We will continue to prepare for Newsies one day at a time as best as we are able. Much patience and flexibility will be needed over the next few weeks. We appreciate our Footlights family every step of the way.
