Great things are going on in Western NY! If you wish to be a part of it, please consider joining fellow trail users for a virtual public meeting tomorrow night that will include a presentation of the final plan for the proposed Southern Tier Trail. Please register here: https://gobikebuffalo.org//southern-tier-trail-project-di/ One trail is great, but a network of trails is even better!!

Introducing our 2nd rest stop located at picturesque Dugan Creek!! Located just south of the Lehigh Valley Trail junction in Scottsville, northern Livingston County. Now patrons can take a break and enjoy the abundant wildlife this estimated 30 million gallon wetland supports. Reclaimed canal era (circa 1840) culvert stone were upcycled creatively into bicycle racks as well as the base of the picnic table. White Oak finishes off the table and benches. A new pier adds additional viewing options
Sharing some photos from our First Day Hike event in Avon taken by our event hosts, snowmobile clubs Caledonia Trailblazers and Henrietta Hill & Gully Riders! The patrons loved using the prop in their photos. Thank you Norm from Hill & Gully for framing the bandanna. Great idea! #nystateparks
During our closure, extensive repairs were made to the White Creek culvert (Livingston County) built during the canal era (circa 1840). This was taken on the east side of the trail, just north of the Erie-Attica Trail junction. A vast amount of organic matter was removed, capstones were hand-cut on site, cracked mortar was repaired throughout and large softball sized stone topped off the culvert to minimize erosion.
During our closure, extensive repairs were made to the White Creek culvert (Caledonia, Livingston County) built during the canal era (circa 1840). This was taken on the east side of the trail, just north of the Erie-Attica Trail junction.

As part of our new rest stop at White Creek, Caledonia, Livingston County (just north of the Erie-Attica Trail junction) bike racks were created out of canal stones (circa 1840) reclaimed from failed culverts that received a well-needed overhaul this past summer.
Hi Edwin Ortiz! Glad you could stop by the Artisan Coffee House in Scottsville for some s’mores and a warm up around the fire . #nystateparks

Wind had a lot to say today, my apologies for the sound issue. This is our brand new White Creek Rest Stop and was created while we resurfaced the trail. It is just north of the Erie-Attica junction (north of Rt 5, Avon, Livingston County). The bicycle racks and the base of the picnic table are made of reclaimed canal era (circa 1840) culvert stone with tops made of White Oak.
