Ruth Henry and Brett Ford (center) won the Club Mixed Doubles Championship with a 6-2, 6-3 over Nick Waddy and Michelle Baines.

Carlo Filice & Dave Missel (center) won the Genesee Volley Tennis Club Doubles Championship Saturday defeating defending champions Gregg Hartvigsen & Biff Strong to win the 10th Annual Tournament. The winners fought off 5 set points in a marathon second set tiebreaker to win 6-3, 7-6 (12-10). In the Singles Tournament, Hartvigsen defeated Rock Castor to retain his crown, 6-4, 7-5. Congrats to David Guillot for finishing 1st among 20 players at the Genesee Volley Tennis & Croquet Club tennis round robin Saturday night at Tennis Club of Rochester! If you want to get into our next round robin in March let us know. You don't have to be member to play!

In the Genesee Volley Tennis Club House there are many rooms. Recently a debate among three of our members (Gene Stelzig, Rev. Billy Daniel and Rock Castor) about the meaning and value of prayer has become public in the pages of a local newspaper.
