GCCS students always spend the month of March taking part in a school wide study. This year our Focus Study was about the various Biomes. Each class chose a different Biome, then spent the month learning and researching about their Biome, while enjoying a variety of activities and classwork that went along with their studies. At the end of our study each class was able to present to the rest of the student body, their plays, skits & research topics.

We are continuing to raise funds for this year's Fund-A-Need, our NEW Maker Space lab. To learn more about what Maker Space is, you can see a video on our website at gccs-pk-8.org. If you would like to donate towards this year's Fund-A-Need you can donate through our website, at the top of the page you will see a "Donate to GCCS" button, which will then take you to our online donation form. You may also mail a check to the school. This new Maker Space will provide more opportunities for our students to learn and grow.

Thanking God for another week of loving learning, knowing Him and serving others. These are pictures of students spending quiet time with Him in our sacred spaces, dissecting sheep’s hearts in middle school health class and the boxes that held nine shopping bags full of personal care products donated to area families. It was a full week. Two more days to go before break.

If you are out shopping this week be on the look out for sales in soap, shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant. It’s time for our annual collection of personal care products to add to holiday baskets for local families. We are collecting until the 16th and all donations are much appreciated. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Genesee Country as we get ready to celebrate Jesus’ birthday. Speaking of birthdays we had a few at school last week!

Continuing our participation in the Advent Conspiracy, we learned about different ways to Worship Fully as we prepare our hearts to receive the Savior this season. Praise, prayer, obedience, song and dance are all ways we can honor and worship Christ. Wendy Spencer ,of Fishers of Men Dance Studio , blessed us with a worship dance in Chapel.

Friday’s are the best at Genesee Country because we all get together for Chapel . Today we prayed for the 33 children who will receive our Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Thank you students and families for sharing God’s love in such a meaningful way.
