Congratulations to those who competed yesterday and thank you to Michelle, Tisha and Laura for helping during the meet. You guys are awesome Our team was paid several compliments by other coaches that I wanted to share. ... First, teams notice that our parents- each of you- are always around to help without begging and pleading. It is so appreciated, by more than just me! Second, I was stopped so another coach could rave about our swimmers. How great they are to each other, to swimmers on other teams and a how they have a constant positive attitude. Thank you to all of you for making Paul and I look so good! ;) Districts This coming Sunday, 2/9, is the district meet for 12 and unders. I have two timers for the morning, I still need two more for the second half of the meet. This Friday, 2/7, will be the last practice for anyone not continuing on to the state meet. State practices (MTThF 4:30-6:00) will begin Monday, 2/10. Soup sale! Still looking for soups and still looking for someone to scoop 11:30-1:00 this Thursday, 2/6.

Nationals I believe I've had the pleasure of telling everyone in person but Dominic Fratto has qualified for Nationals in the 50 free. This means he'll be competing in North Carolina the beginning of April. We need your help getting Paul there with him! The YMCA has already arranged a Soup fundraiser on Thursday, February 6th and are looking for donated crock pots of your favorite soup. Let myself or the Y know if you're able to bring something. Additionally, the Y is in need of someone to scoop soup. The busiest time is between 11:30 and 1:00. Soup can be purchased for $5 a container. Soup serving begins at 11:30. If anyone has any additional fundraising ideas please let me know!

The Goodwill Invitational takes place at ECC in Buffalo on Sunday, January 19th in the pool we'll be competing in for states. 10 and unders warm up at 8; 11 and overs around 11:00. We quit doing this meet years ago because we couldn't get enough kids to go. Because they've revamped the meet and it's at the pool we'll be swimming in for states we'll consider it IF we get 5 swimmers PER SESSION. Please respond if you're interested. If we don't get enough swimmers we won't go. Last Varsity Meet Varsity's last home meet is Thursday, January 16th around 4:00/4:30. (I'll confirm and send that out.) It's Senior Night so they'll be honoring our one and only Anna Humiston. I think it'd be great for the Gators to be there to support Anna. It'll also give the younger swimmers a chance to see what's in their future. I assure you, varsity meets are much shorter than a Y meet! There will be no Gators practice on this evening. Next Meet Our next meet is Saturday, January 18th at Clifton Springs. This will be our last dual meet of the season.
