COVID-19 is still an ongoing issue. Good news! We as an office are doing our very best to protect our patients! Some procedures that we are doing (that we normally do, just most patients don't get a chance to witness) are: -Cleaning and sanitizing waiting room after any person touches anything. -The doctor installed a HEPA filter in each of the treatment rooms and reception area. - Cleaning and sanitizing each treatment room before and after a patient is treated.... - All staff members are wearing masks (as are the patients) - Each patient is participating in a pre-procedural rinse with Listerine to reduce the bacterial load in the mouth - Staff is taking their own temperatures and each patient's temperature when arriving. - Reducing the amount of people in the waiting areas by asking patients to wait in their cars as needed. -We are using one door for an entrance and a different door for an exit. (keeping one flow of traffic to avoid overlapping of patients) If you are not feeling well, have a fever, have a cough or have traveled outside of the New York area and have an appointment please call and reschedule. We have created a safe and clean space for our staff and our patients. Our space is normally this clean but as stated before, many patients just never witnessed us implementing these procedures. Please do not hesitate to call and ask any questions that you may have about our COVID-19 procedures. We are dedicated to keeping you and ourselves safe and healthy!

We are excited to announce we are finally allowed to be open!! We will not be seeing patients on Monday June 1st. But will begin to see patients on Tuesday June 2nd. If you have had an appointment in the past three months, please do not call to reschedule your appointment. We will be calling each patient to reschedule those appointments. Some rules and regulations: ... All patients must wear a mask until staff instructs you to take it off. We will be asking screening questions when we call to confirm the appointment and then we will ask them again when you come in. We ask you to stay in your car until you get a call from our office. (We have to minimize people in the waiting room) If you must use the bathroom before or after your appointment, we ask you to use the building bathroom, we will provide key. We will be taking your temperature when you arrive for your appointment. There are purple markers on the ground for everyone to folllow. You can enter through the normal waiting room door but you must exit from the door behind the front desk. We ask you to be patient with us in this strange time. We are doing our best with the resources we are provided. We are so happy to be back open to treat our patients! Thank you! -Dr. Steve and Staff See more

As a reminder: We are still not granted the ability from NYS or the ADA to be open, even after May 15th, as per the PAUSE order. We are not apart of phase 1. Please continue to navigate through this time with us, one step at a time. If you have an appointment in the coming time, consider it cancelled until further notice. We will call you if we are open and able to see patients for regular procedures. We will call any patient that had an appoint during the closed time to reschedule. Stay safe and stay healthy.

As of Thursday March 19th the office will be closed until further notice. For patients that have appointments please do not call to try and cancel or change the appointment. We will call you when we hear when the office will be open again and ready to see patients. If you have an emergency such as 10 out of 10 pain, call the office and you will be prompted to the emergency phone number to reach the doctor. Please use your best judgment in these circumstances. ... We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. **Remember to brush, floss and waterpik as normal! -Dr. Genewick and Team

February is National Children's Dental Health Month! Are your kids up to date? Starting good oral hygiene habits and regular visits to the dentist at an early age can help form those same habits as an adult. Start your child on a good path now and they will thank you later!

Do you have dry mouth? Try products like Biotene or Moisyn to help. Dry mouth can cause rapid tooth decay (cavities), thrush, or even gingivitis. https://www.webmd.com/oral-health//dental-health-dry-mouth

Recently we were approached about billing some services to patient's medical insurance. As of yesterday, it's official we are billing medical insurances! What this means for the patients ideally: more services will be covered, your oral health will improve, your sleep could improve! We chose to do this so our patients can have more coverage for services they need. This includes: sleep apnea devices, mouth guards, x-rays, and extractions. We will begin collecting medical insurance cards at your next visit. We want 2020 to do big things for you!
