#OnThisDay in 1917, the Plymouth Theater, now the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater, opened at 236 W 45th St. Built by @ShubertOrg and designed by Herbert J. Krapp, who... did most of Shubert’s theaters, it helped shape the Broadway theater district. It is both an individual and an interior landmark.
