Just under 48,000LBs total work probably would have been enough for most but I went and ran the stairs at RPI a bunch of times right after. Just when you think you pushed it really hard, push harder.

Great cardio workout today in Troy! As always, it's free!! If even the smallest part of you thinks you should, stop thinking and do it. Who's gonna meet me at the RPI staircase at 6? Start point is the top. Run down and up for the allotted time at a good pace. If you are on your way down when the time ends, you can slow down if you wish but you still have to touch bottom and make your way back up. -Down and up once for warm up... -5 mins / 6 mins / 7 mins / 6 mins / 5 mins 4 mins rest between runs Entire workout should take about 45 mins. First few Open Workouts: Monday 6/15- (1:45pm) Sprints at Peebles island. (theres a smaller inner loop I like to use for faster running than can be sustained over longer distances) Wednesday 6/17- (6:00pm) RPI staircase workout. (there is a giant staircase at RPI,. The top is across the street from the EMPAC building (the awesome rounded building with the state of the art acoustics. They light it up with different colors and you can see it from pretty far away at night when driving down Alt route 7 East).

Tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 9am is the East Greenbush run into summer 5k. If you didn't already register online you can register tomorrow before the race between 7:30 and 8:45. Race day registration is $25 and it goes to help fund the EG Pop Warner team. If you don't think you are ready for a 5k, that's why you need to go. The only way to get better at running is by running. I haven't done much running yet this year so I will be hurting myself, that's for sure. A few 5k's... from now, and we'll all be cruisin'.
