UN highlights transformative power of equal participation, marking International Women’s Day. The Day celebrates women for their immense contribution towards national development and raise awareness on the need for equality in all spheres of life. Globally, women comprise 43 per cent of the world’s agricultural labour force, rising to 70 per cent in some countries.

Today in Accra, UN Deputy Secretary-General, H.E. Amina J. Mohammed interacted with members of the Young Health Advocates at Jamestown Cafe. She assured young people that, the UN stands with them. #UNinGhana

Today, the UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina J. Mohammed paid her condolences to the family of former President of Ghana, H.E. Jerry John Rawlings, where she eulogized the late Ghanaian statesman and also signed the book of condolence in his memory.
