Here's an example of how the spectacular scale that an old barn structure affords can be used for either a large dining area or for a board meeting. Notice the massive hand hewn timbers and the beautiful wide board plank flooring. When faced with the challenge of providing wrap around covered decks but not wanting to block the sunlight from reaching the interior of this beautiful shingle style home, Gleicher Design opted to provide a cutaway semi-circular roof. As the sun moves through the sky during the day, so does the wonderful shadows it casts on the cedar decking.
