She believed she could so she did! Congratulations DERELEEN JAMES on your appointment as Member of the Central Drug Authority Board of South Africa. Responsible for the implementation of the prevention of and Treatment of Substance Abuse Act and the National Drug Master plan. What started in 2013 right in your moms lounge took you on a journey of many successes, trails, tribulations some of which many will not even believe us when we talk about it. Terrible and horrible trea...tment by some of our own... I remember the days when we had to put R5's together (and we still do lol) just to buy some meat for the stew to feed the kids in the program. Us going to bed at 4am to pull off an activation overnight just so we can get much needed support in for the kids. I fondly remember many days that you went to bed in tears but every time got up in the morning, put on your makeup and doek and smiled again. Because the there was still a teenager on a street corner that needed help. YOU DID IT! And its just the start. Its a win not just for Eldorado Park or Johannesburg but for whole of the country. "And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time" Oh what a sacrifice. Just a few months ago i stood in the exact spot that this happened and saw how people more than 2000 years later still weep. Today we celebrate a friend who laid down His life for a friend.
