The coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted youth around the world with most suffering from a loss of income, delay with education and mental health issues. In Nigeria, the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that more than 50 per cent of young people in the country are either unemployment or underemployment. The pandemic has further highlighted this crisis, and there is a need to ensure young people are in the centre of the recovery effort. Nigeria Youth SDGs Network... worked with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, International Labour Organization and the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports to understand the aspiration of young Nigerians on decent work and how the pandemic affects their present and future work prospect. During the session, we will be sharing feedback from the survey which had 212,000 responses on how young people want the government to support their decent work aspirations. #IYC2021 #BuildbackSustainable
