The Gorman Group

The Gorman Group engages in several pavement preservation and recycling techniques that significantly reduce carbon footprint when compared with conventional paving methods. These processes include recycling treatments like Cold in Place recycling. Cold in Place recycling can reduce emissions up to 90%, and reuses 100% of the existing material generating no waste. Two more examples of preservation treatments are chip seal and micro surfacing. These techniques reduce gree...nhouse gas emissions by 51% and 44% respectively compared to traditional hot mix-based techniques. They also require around 50% less raw materials than traditional techniques. These technologies allow The Gorman Group to serve the public with both effective pavement maintenance techniques as well as a higher level of sustainability and social responsibility. Paving in the T/O Mt. Pleasant today. Westchester County.

On Thursday, August 27, 2020, the Town of Florida dedicated Mead Road to Hon. James Mead and Supervisor Ronald Mead. Eric and Brian Mead were presented with this honor at the Florida Town Hall among Town of Florida and Montgomery County officials, friends and family. The Mead family’s positive impact on the town and county will be memorialized for all to see as the new road sign goes up this week. Congratulations!

Shawn Hansen Highway Superintendent for the Town of Inlet. On Tuesday 7/7/2020 we had the mile of the Tobie Trail in Inlet sealed. The day was really warm whi...ch made perfect conditions for the sealer to dry fast. Thanks to my crew for getting the path prepped and for the traffic control. Thanks to John Scoones from the Gorman Group and Timothy Kogut from Kogut Excavating for doing the sealing. The whole job went smooth. Everybody worked great together. Great job by all. See more
