So many times we hear about that one teacher who made a special impact on someone's life. Who was that teacher for you? Even if you didn't graduate from #GoshenCentralSchoolDistrict, we want to hear about your best teacher ever! #TeacherAppreciationWeek #GoshenPride

With a variety of bands, choruses, orchestras, musical productions, clubs and more, we're not surprised! Thank you for supporting music education in our schools! #BestCommunitiesForMusicEducation

We're celebrating our seniors! Daniel Horrego's future plans include living in Quebec, finishing his studies and becoming a teacher. All the best to you, Daniel; we know your future is bright! #CelebratingGoshenGrads21 What is one thing you learned this year? There is so much to do in life so I have to drown out distractions and go for what I want.... What accomplishment are you most proud of? I'm most proud of my intelligence and ability to thoroughly think over problems or decisions. What would you like to change in the world? I would like to change my own life and the lives of those around me.

Such a beautiful day for learning! Fifth graders in Karen Kropp's class recently worked on Project Lead the Way module titled "Infection: Modeling and Simulation." Students worked with Computers Teaching Assistant Kendra Parchinski to simulate the spread of a communicable disease and design a computer model in Scratch.

We're celebrating our seniors! Class of 2021 senior Gwen Aitchison's future plans include getting a Masters degree in social work in order to work with struggling youth. #CelebratingGoshenGrads21 What is one thing you learned this year? That growing up means letting go.... What accomplishment are you most proud of? That even through a pandemic, I could bounce back and work hard to get into my top colleges. What would you like to change in the world? I don’t want a good life to be exclusive to people who are well off. A stable life and home should be universal. We're proud of you, Gwen!

"It is clear that in the future I would like to see racism stop." Fourth grader Sufiyah Uppal used Flipgrid to write and record her dreams for the future of our world as part of a class-wide project. She is a student in Jen Cestare and (student teacher) Emily Martin's class at GIS. #BlackHistoryMonth #MLK

Need some feel-good news? Check out Serendipity, a magazine created by Distance Learning Journalism students at Goshen High School and their peers at Schuylerville! According to Teaching Assistant Brian Johnson, the class focused on good and positive news pieces to help boost spirits during difficult times. Gorgeous! We love this beautiful watercolor by GHS sophomore Michelle Gukhman. The piece is titled "We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl." So much amazing creativity and talent.

Seeing front line workers go into work everyday, despite the chaos and uncertainty, makes me appreciate their bravery and their courage, and I cannot wait to be one of them!
