Practice Overview Gotham Veterinary Center is a privately owned, small animal practice. Since opening in November 2009, our focus has been on creating a community of patients and their owners that seek excellent, comprehensive, and compassionate care. We are proud to be a fully AAHA accredited hospital. We not only provide medical and surgical care, but we also offer advanced dental services and rehabilitation for pets needing help post-surgery or in dealing with mobility problems too. What You’ll Be Working On Engaging and communicating with clients Assist with patient exams, surgery, and emergency treatment Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain under direction of a veterinarian Dispensing or administering medications as directed by the DVM Assembly of surgical suite and instruments venipuncture, and intravenous catheter placement Clean, pack and autoclave all surgical materials after use Getting and maintaining patient information Qualifications Bachelors or Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology required Be a licensed veterinary technician in the state of New York required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives What’s In It For You Work a 4-day work week, including Saturdays Incentive Program Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off 401k Contribution If spending time enriching the lives of your patients and their owners appeal to you, please send your resume and references to [email protected].

Meet Fred! We are looking for a forever home for Fred. Fred's owner sadly and unexpectedly passed away about 3 months ago. Fred is a loving and sweet gentleman. He loves being pet and loves his food!
