Everyone always asks how we manage to care for the cows in the winter. Cows can handle cold weather, but they do need to be kept dry, well fed and have lots of drinking water available. Freezing temperatures create huge ice cubes in the cows water buckets. This year we want to bring electricity to the barn and install a heated watering trough so the cows water buckets don’t freeze.
