Scripture, Words and Prayer for Friday, May 7, 2021 Matthew 16:19 19 And that’s not all. You will have complete and free access to God’s kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven. This is our little piece of Heaven here on Earth. God, creator of heaven and earth, how blessed we are to be surrounded by this beauty. We offer prayers of gratitude as we see the flowers and trees which are clothed by you. For the beauty of the earth, we give you praise. Amen

Scripture, Words and Prayer for Thursday, May 6, 2021 Psalm 126:3 New Revised Standard Version 3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we rejoiced. This we...ek we have celebrated National Teachers, National Nurses, National Corrections and next week we celebrate National Police Officers week. I appreciate these days but why shouldn’t we celebrate each other every day, after all God created you and others. Gracious God, I am blessed today by the others that You have placed around me. We are all blessed by what others do for us. Shower them with blessings that You provide because of what they give to us. Amen

Scripture, Words and Prayer for Wednesday, May 5, 2021 Matthew 6:34 The Voice 34 So do not worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow worry about itself. Living faithfu...lly is a large enough task for today. As I have witnessed many people around me passing recently, I begin thinking about what tomorrow brings, but I, and I think you also need to start thinking earnestly about today, because tomorrow is never promised. So, make today your best day ever. Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me an opportunity to greet another day. I know that there are many things that could go wrong today, but I choose to focus on the good. I pray that You will give me a good day today, despite ever changing circumstances. And at the end of the day, remind me to thank You for every blessing You have given me. Amen

Scripture, Words and Prayer for Friday, April 9, 2021 Galatians 3:26 The Voice 26 It is your faith in the Anointed Jesus that makes all of you children of God I find it so sad that we are trying to blame a certain person or persons for the division that exists in OUR country. We are all God’s children, step aside with your jaded beliefs and accept the fact that we are His. I was at Corning Guthrie Hospital yesterday, and whether I visited with staff or patients they were all the same, united for the better. Lord help us to see things like You do. Your Word says that there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for You are all one in Christ Jesus. Amen

Scripture, Words and Prayer for Thursday, April 8, 2021 Proverbs 3:29 The Voice 29 Make no plans that could result in injury to your neighbor; Yet another mass shooting, this time with kids involved, I have nothing more to offer, than prayer.... God, hear my voice. Save me from evil ways of the world. Help me to recognize their bad intentions. Protect me and those around me from enemies. God, I can rely on You. I believe and trust you. Amen.

Scripture, Words and Prayer for Wednesday, April 7, 2021 Romans 8:28-30 The Voice 28 We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward ...something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. 29-30 From the distant past, His eternal love reached into the future. You see, He knew those who would be His one day, and He chose them beforehand to be conformed to the image of His Son so that Jesus would be the firstborn of a new family of believers, all brothers and sisters. As for those He chose beforehand, He called them to a different destiny so that they would experience what it means to be made right with God and share in His glory. On a beautiful morning like this I like to spend some time on the patio, it always gives me time to reflect on my life and discern what’s next. The bottom line is, however, I don’t know what’s next, you see I have, for the past several years given in to God, and let Him lead me. The things that I do know is that He is active in my life and I feel confident that the path is already designed, it’s just waiting for me. Jesus, I am humbled that You consider me worthy to be usedin ways big and smallto accomplish Your will here on earth. Help me respond without hesitation whenever I perceive Your voice calling me into action. In Your Name, I pray, Amen.

Sorry folks running a little behind: Scripture, words and prayer for Tuesday, April 6, 2021 John 20:24-29 NIV Jesus Appears to Thomas 24 Now Thomas (also known ...as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, We have seen the Lord! But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace be with you! 27 Then he said to Thomas, Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe. 28 Thomas said to him, My Lord and my God! 29 Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. Faith is an interesting thing, especially if you don’t have it. Here we see Thomas, Doubting Thomas, One of Jesus own, that will not believe unless he sees it. Faith is believing without having any reason to. Have you ever had something happen and you sit in awe wondering how in the world it happened? Think about it, count your blessings He has come through. Dear Lord, I ask that You bestow Your wisdom upon me. I need to hear Your voice. Give me the discernment to hear Your voice and Your voice alone. Speak to me in the way You know I will hear you best. I also pray for Your Will, Lord. I trust you and ask You to show what is best in every situation. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen See more

Scripture, Words and Prayer for Monday, April 5th John 20:19-23 The Message To Believe 19-20 Later on that day, the disciples had gathered together, but, fearful of the Jews, had locked all the doors in the house. Jesus entered, stood among them, and said, Peace to you. Then he showed them his hands and side. 20-21 The disciples, seeing the Master with their own eyes, were awestruck. Jesus repeated his greeting: Peace to you. Just as the Father sent me, I send you. 22-23 ...Then he took a deep breath and breathed into them. Receive the Holy Spirit, he said. If you forgive someone’s sins, they’re gone for good. If you don’t forgive sins, what are you going to do with them? Another Holy Week and Easter in the books, but why do we look at it that way? Why do we only celebrate the resurrection once a year? Easter should always be present in our minds, with thanks and gratitude. Three things come out of the resurrection story: hope, the understanding that Jesus has a plan for us and that we need not stand alone, the Holy Spirit is with us always. So understand this, our hope lies in the Lord, you have been chosen to act on His behalf and you do not stand alone. Dear Lord, we give You glory, honor and praise! It is You, who in Your abundant and great mercy, have allowed us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
