A year ago, even 6 months ago, I would never imagined the direction my life would be taking. You probably can relate. There have been challenges and new opportunities. I try to encourage others to take good care of themselves and I need to take my own advice. That means I need to spend less time on social media right now. Please give yourself the time and space you need to keep going in these changing and often unpredictable times.
I’m listening to Another Gospel?: A Lifelong Christian Seeks Truth in Response to Progressive Christianity by Alisa Childers. She notes that she has heard it said that, a little knowledge will make you an atheist a lot of knowledge will make you a Christian. The scripture image was yesterday’s verse on my YouVersion Bible app. She also talks about putting all your trust in, among other things, a political party. How timely all of this is. The most solid place to put you...r trust is in God. But clearly it’s okay to have questions and even doubts. That will hopefully give you a desire to learn more of what is truly good news. 2020 didn’t catch God by surprise and he doesn’t expect you to get through this time alone. He’s even okay with you talking with him about what’s going on even if you feel angry. He’s a good listener. If you could use some peace, try talking to God. See more
A little election humor to lighten the mood. Another favorite is a Twitter post with an line drawing of the United States scribbled on and the caption This is what we know so far.

Weight loss can be challenging during the best of times. When life is stressful food is comforting. If you feel like you are losing your battle with weight, you are not alone. Try to do at least one positive thing to be healthier today.
We recently watched the Disney movie "Clouds" inspired by the hit single from Zach Sobiech. Zach wrote and recorded the song while he was dying of cancer. He wanted to make a difference in people’s lives in the brief time he had on this earth. The movie ended with a clip of 18-year-old Zach saying, I want everyone to know that you don’t need to find out you’re dying to start living. Watch the movie with a box of Kleenex and be inspired by this amazing young man. #livelikeyouweredying
If we could stop asking the question, ‘What can I get for myself?’ and start asking the question, ‘What can I give from myself?’ I think people would learn that you don’t have to be a comedian to deliver a punchline. Comedian Michael Jr. with a message that everyone needs to hear. #BeThePunchline https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2MORc0ZCo8
Maybe that door is the stressful stuff we can’t do anything to change. We’re stuck and missing the life all around us that we could possibly enjoy.

My faithful Lilly. What a great walking partner and so much more! Let’s see your pets.
I love historical fiction. Based on the book, this WWII era story about an unmarried, pregnant woman whose father sends her to a faraway place where she doesn't want to go. There she finds unconditional love that she has never known. She found love, acceptance and joy in a place she least expected it. It is a favorite. What is your favorite movie?
For more recipes like this and support to help you reach your goals join the free No Excuses Challenge here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2672777956296330/ Here is an easy recipe to try for a meatless meal. It's one I make. Years ago, a vegetarian friend shared this idea with me, here is my version. Cook rice; brown rice takes about 45 minutes stovetop but only 20 in the Instant Pot (I love mine). Tip: cook extra rice for leftovers. Steam the broccoli for 5 minutes. Stir f...ry the carrots in a heated wok or skillet using flavorful sesame oil, about 5 minutes, keep warm. After the carrots are out of the skillet, stir fry the broccoli followed by the cubed tofu. The idea is to get the tofu slightly brown and a bit crispy. Toss the ingredients together, serve over steamed rice with a drizzle of Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (a great soy sauce alternative) and a handful of toasted, mixed nuts. #plantbased #noexcuses See more
I'll share my favorite if you share yours. It can be healthy or just taste really good. #midnightsnack
During these uncertain times just opening your eyes in the morning may seem like enough of a risk. Some of the world’s most accomplished people tried many times before they achieved success in their pursuits. Edison and the light bulb is just one example of how perseverance changed the world. He said he hadn’t failed; he had just found 10,000 ways that wouldn’t work. That could be your story. Be a risk taker and surprise yourself with your accomplishments. #Success #perseverance

Wanting to go plant-based for your health? Put some cubed Tofu Lin on your green salad for satisfying protein. Slice and serve with whole grain crackers, raw veggies and hummus for lunch on the go. #plantbased #plantsmakepeoplehappy
