June 12th will be here before you know it! It’s actually getting so close that I will probably start with the annoying multiple posts for help and donations . I’m a fly by the seat of my pants girl lately. Life is so busy that important dates sneak up on me and I go into panic mode to make sure the important event or ...date is as special as it can be. Yesterday morning I realized it was April 13th... one day until My middle child’s birthday. I wish my brain went into event mode... what should I get her? Where can I get a cake? Should we have a party? All the normal questions when your child’s birthday is coming up. Instead the last 2 days my brain went into keep it together mode. Don’t cry, go to work, don’t think about it, count to 10 and take a deep breath, you’ll be ok, and over and over again don’t cry. Guess what? I cried. I cried a lot when no one was looking. 11. My baby should be 11 today. A day that should be filled with lots of excitement and giggles and smiles from the birthday girl is filled with many what if’s and wonder. In between work, practices and tears we made a trip to the cemetery to have a late night birthday treat with our girl. As we were sitting there a fox walked right next to us... signs were everywhere. They were even in our pictures from the beach . And you know us, we can’t not do something special in memory of our girl . So since we can’t cook at the RMH (because of covid) we sent a food truck to the RMH house in memory of our Gracie girl Happy birthday sweet girl.
