Grand Central Creamery is officially open for the season! We decided to route drive thru traffic around the garage, to avoid traffic backing up into the street. Also, in order to comply with New York State’s gathering restrictions, the picnic tables are temporarily unavailable. ... Grand Central Creamery will open for the season tomorrow at 2pm. Here’s our plan: To kick off the season our hours will be 5:30pm-9pm Monday through Friday and 2pm-9pm on Saturday and Sunday. Hours will be expanded on May 14th to 2pm-9pm daily. We will continue to offer peanut butter/milk chocolate twist all season, and we will rotate mint/dark chocolate, coffee/dark chocolate, and coffee/vanilla, along with the occasional surprise. When the time comes, we will finish the... season with real baked pumpkin. For the first week we will open with coffee/dark chocolate! New this year we will feature Ghirardelli hot fudge, Ghirardelli caramel as well Ghirardelli chocolate syrup. We will continue to feature our home made peanut butter sauce. Hope to see you all soon!

Real Coffee Soft Ice Cream is back this week! The coffee ice cream, which we cold brew in our shop with JBC Coffee Roasters' "Twisted 3.0 Espresso" beans (Rated 94/100 by the leading coffee review!), will be paired with our dark chocolate. The weather forecast is finally starting to look like ice cream weather. Finally. We will be open 2-9pm daily from now until Labor day. Hope to see you soon.

Real Coffee Ice Cream - By popular demand, coffee ice cream is back!! We had overwhelmingly positive feedback on our coffee ice cream last year. Cold brewed in our vanilla custard, and made with one of the world's best coffees from JBC Roasters in Wisconsin. Hope you love it. Paired this week with our dark chocolate.

Grand Central Creamery will open for the season on Saturday! Here’s our plan: We will be open 5pm-9pm daily starting April 8th. [Closed April 16th for Easter Sunday.] Hours will be expanded as the season progresses. Based on customer input, we will offer our peanut butter/milk chocolate twist all season, and we will rotate mint/dark chocolate, coffee/dark chocolate, and coffee/vanilla, along with the occasional surprise. When the time comes, we will finish the season with re...al baked pumpkin. New this year many customers have told us that they love our quality, but that even our "kids" cone is just too much ice cream for them. For those folks, we created the mini a full size cone with a short pull of soft ice cream. For those who crave our soft flavors at home, we are offering frozen solid take home creamery cups on a limited basis. Here’s hoping for a great ice cream season!

Great weather for the last chance for Grand Central ice cream for the season - today through Friday! 6pm-9pm. Real pumpkin - slow baked real pumpkin mixed with Perry vanilla custard and offered in a soft-serve twist with vanilla. Peanut butter soft serve twisted with our creamiest chocolate. And, of course, vanilla and chocolate soft serve for traditionalists. Plus, we still have some of Perrys hard ice cream favorites - Cookies & Cream, Mint Ting-a-Ling, Cookie Dough, Cotton Candy, Peanut Butter Cup, among others - while they last. Hope to see you there.

Last week of the season. Thank you so much to our wonderful customers and to our great staff for a terrific Ice Cream Season 2016. There's still a chance to get our soft serve real pumpkin/vanilla twist, which has earned rave reviews, or our peanut butter/chocolate soft serve combo. Homemade hot fudge and homemade peanut butter sauce await! Many of our top Perrys hard ice cream flavors are still in stock. But, when they're gone, they're gone. Thanks again. Real Pumpkin Soft Serve!! We really wanted to end the season strong. And, we really wanted to offer a pumpkin ice cream that tasted like real fresh-baked pumpkin pie. So, we thought, real coffee seemed to be key to making great coffee ice cream. Real peanut butter butter is the key to our addictive peanut butter ice cream. We've got to try real pumpkin. But, there's a problem with real pumpkin. It's got a high water content. And water and good ice cream don't mix. So...we won...dered what would happen if we slow baked the pumpkin with pumpkin pie spices to bake off some of the water content, develop the natural sugars in the pumpkin and highlight the warming spices - and then mix the baked pumpkin with Perrys vanilla custard mix. Well, wonder no more! Epic pumpkin pie ice cream flowed from our ice cream machine when we tried it out late this morning. We think that you'll love it. Real Cherry/Vanilla this week. The bad news is that soft coffee ice cream is temporarily off the menu. Due to overwhelming demand, we will definitely work it in into our offerings next year. This week, we are featuring a cherry/vanilla twist, in addition to our peanut butter/chocolate, and of course, vanilla/chocolate. The cherry is flavored exclusively with concentrate from real cherries, the ones that are used for cherry pie. So, it tastes like real cherries. We hope that you like it. Please note that our hours will be changing to 6-9 pm, starting on Wednesday, September 7th. Have a great Labor Day weekend.

This Week...Soft Coffee/Dark Chocolate Twist. We received lots of good of feedback on our coffee ice cream. Thank you for your kind words. But, some of you wanted to try to it with chocolate. So, this week only, we are pairing our coffee soft serve with dark chocolate for a twist. We hope that you like it as much as we do!

Limited Time - Soft Coffee Ice Cream! We wondered, could we make a soft serve coffee ice cream that would thrill coffee lovers and iced coffee lovers? We think that we did just that. And, it will be available starting today. It was important to start with great ice cream. We use Perrys Premium custard mix for all of our soft serve. The typical way to make coffee ice cream is to add coffee flavored syrup to mix. No thanks. Not us. We also knew that adding brewed coffee adds wa...ter, which means ice crystals, which are the bane of good ice cream. Instead, we cold brewed JBC Coffee Roasters "Twisted 3.0" coffee (one of JBC's coffees scored the highest score in the world last year according to the leading expert, tied for highest score ever). And, we didn't cold brew it in water. We actually cold brewed it in the vanilla ice cream mix. As far as we know, that's the first time that's ever been done. And then, we tasted it. Beyond our highest hopes. This is the best coffee ice cream that we have ever tasted. We hope that you agree. We are pairing it with an even creamier version of our vanilla. While it lasts!!
